Soul Searching Adventure Found Here?I recently saw an advertisement for a “women only soul-searching trip to the Himalayan mountains.” Yup, you read that right, a women-only soul-searching trip to the Himalayas. I was confused. Why would a woman sign up for this? It is very expensive. You travel with complete strangers. AND, apparently riding a bus through the mountains somehow qualifies as a spiritual experience.
As I thought about it though, I realized this advertisement highlights what many women are looking for. -
The Wisdom of this World Will Never CompareI was not prepared! No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get it together. I was supposed to talk for 5 minutes at our district pastor’s conference. I hesitantly stepped onto stage with my mess of a note sheet. There were so many good things I wanted to say about Great Commission Women. Words of challenge and encouragement. A challenge to equip leaders. I wanted to be memorable and impactful.

Everybody Needs SomebodyIt wasn’t easy for any of us. We often focused on her failure. She often got angry at our pushing. We all apologized often and forgave quickly. And we learned what it takes to ask for help, and to give it.
This reminds me of how we relate to God -
Peculiar WorshipThis is also God’s message to you. He has made YOU unique. Maybe you feel strange. BUT God is the author of the “strange”; He made you the way you are. He made you with your personality and all your quirks. His relationship with you is as unique as you are. He is glorified when you worship Him in the way He built you to worship Him.
