Frequently Asked Questions

1- Who should the check be made out to for the WLS?

You can make the checks payable to Christian & Missionary Alliance or C&MA with a note on the memo line that the check is for WLS and mail them to:

Susan Bernard, Director
Women's Leadership Studies
151 S. Vincent Dr.
Bolingbrook, IL 60490
susan@alliancewomen.org

2- Is there a deadline to sign up for the class?

The deadline for registration is one week before the date so the church and instructors know how to plan. There is a late fee after that of $10 which would bring the total to $69.

3- Ladies have been asking about confirmation. Will they receive confirmation that they have signed up?

Yes, we will be sending out confirmations for registrations.

4- How much is the audit fee? Is there an advantage to completing the program and receiving the certificate compared to just auditing the classes?

The audit fee will be $55. The huge advantage to completing the program is that the extra work required such as book reading and assignments will greatly enhance the program and help the person get a lot more out of it. The proof of study is always in the practical application of what we are doing. In the future at some point, we will be having the completion of this program as a criteria for those who would serve on the national AWM leadership team.

5- Are these classes for all women leaders in the church, i.e. disciple making directors, bible study leaders, etc. or is this more for "Alliance Women" (missions, fellowship, outreach and prayer)? Would the second seminar "Principle Objectives of Alliance Women" be applicable to all these women leaders?

Yes, all women leaders in the church are welcome and will benefit from the sessions. The second seminar: Principle Objectives of AWM will be applicable to everyone because it will be taught from the perspective of the mission statement of the C&MA and how these objectives fit into any type of ministry. They really line up with what is called upon us in the Great Commission and it will be taught not as though you are an Alliance Woman or have a group, but just the principles that apply to all areas of ministry.
