Pearl River, New York is Edna’s hometown. At the age of 14 on a trip with the teen choir of the mainline church she was attending to New York City’s Madison Square Garden to hear Dr. Billy Graham speak, Edna received Christ as her Savior. She began to attend a C&MA church plant in Pearl River and it was there she committed her life to serving in full time ministry and also where she met the man who would later become her husband.

Edna married Jerry Mapstone and one year later graduated from Nyack College. She started her teaching career and has taught Kindergarten, First and Second Grades and Jr. High Special Ed and has substituted in a myriad of other subjects throughout the years including art and music.

nancy@alliancewomen.org

Nancy committed her life to Jesus at age 8 in the church her great-grandfather founded. God’s Word has been her constant blueprint for living.  After leaving a long-term membership in another denomination, she and husband, Dick, came to the CMA in January, 2004, and began the Great Adventure sharing the core values of The Alliance and a zeal for missions.  Nancy’s passions lie in introducing women to God’s Word through inductive Bible study and identifying emerging leaders and equipping them to serve in ministry.  She and Dick recently relocated to the Columbus, OH area nearby their two children and five grandchildren.  They attend Cornerstone Alliance Church in Marion, Ohio.  She has served as an AWM Area Director (NW OH) and Great Lakes District Director.  Her long-term goal is completing her studies at OSU in political science and communications equipping her to write political commentary and analysis from a Biblical perspective.

Member-at-Large:
Pat Peters
1904 Hickory Valley Rd.
Chattanooga, TN 37421
(423) 893-9319
pat@alliancewomen.org

From birth Patty was part of a small storefront C&MA Church in New Jersey, and during DVBS there the summer she was 4 1/2 she gave her heart to the Lord. A few months later, at a missions conference, she knew God was calling her to serve Him overseas. At the Council Missionary Rally several years later in Long Beach, CA, she publicly renewed that commitment.

Following high school graduation, she attended Nyack College, where she met her husband. Lee and Patty married two weeks before their senior year, and upon graduation, in preparation for working overseas they went immediately to Asheville, NC where Lee served as assistant pastor and Patty as church secretary in the Cornerstone Church.

In 1966 they began their work in the Philippines where they served for 32 years, working with established churches, the national youth ministry PSALM, as dorm parents, in the Mission Office, and in church planting. When in 1998 the needs of family made it clear they must return to the States, the Lord opened the door for pastoral ministry at First Alliance Church in Chattanooga, TN. Two years later Patty became a member of the Southern District AWM Team, first as Assistant Director, and for the past four years, as District Director.

God has blessed Patty and Lee with three children and six grandchildren.

On July 2010, Hilda moved with her family to Colorado Springs, after living 6 years in Indiana, because of her husband ministry. Rosilio is serving at the National Office of the Christian and Missionary Alliance assisting the Vice President in the Church Ministry Department.
Hilda received Jesus as her savior when she 19 years old. Since her early age at church, Hilda always have loved the Women ministry and enjoyed to be around women. After she got married in 1987 she moved to Manati, PR where Rosilio was a Senior Pastor.
Throughout her Christian life the Women ministry have always been part of Hilda’s life. After 10 years at the CMA church in Manati, PR, her husband was called to serve in other leadership positions in Puerto Rico (Church Planting Director and District Superintendent).
On May 2012 Hilda was elected to be part of the Executive Committee for the AWM as Member At Large. She received this privilege to serve her Savior with a humble heart always reminding that “The moment we recognize that we are not adequate for the task to which God has called us…is the moment we are qualified to engage…God’s work requires the miraculous…always”- Pastor Don Overton, NSAC, Colorado Springs
The following is one of Hilda’s quotes that identify her life:
“I love God above all things. I love my family with all my heart. And Jesus loves me and you too”

Member-at-Large:
Merilyn Lauffer
8665 Freemantle Dr.
Colorado Springs, CO 80920
(719) 304-4154
merilyn@alliancewomen.org

Missions had always fascinated Merilyn. Her parents regularly prayed for and hosted international workers in their home. It was a household word. At the early age of 8 she knew that God had called her to serve him overseas. Merilyn attended Toccoa Falls college where she met her husband David Lauffer. After home service in Eastern PA, in 1988 they took their two small boys to serve the Lord Israel.

The Lauffer family had served 16 years in Israel when an illness prevented their return. The Lord redirected their steps to Saline, MI where they planted a church. In 2007 it was clear the Lord was again redirecting and David accepted the call to work at the National Office as Assistant Vice president over Europe, Africa and the Mid East.

Today Merilyn and her family are living in Colorado Springs. She is actively involved in women's ministries at North Springs Alliance Church and works part time at the Connection Center in the National Office. The Lauffers have four children: David (Danae); Daniel; Nathan and Leanne.

Rachel's coworkers always tease her saying she bleeds Alliance. She grew up in the Washington Alliance Church in Washington, PA, and if the doors were open her family was there. She did bible quizzing, was in youth group, attended Mahaffey Camp and was a camp counselor at Edinboro each summer during her college years. So of course, when she could, she got involved in Alliance Women's Ministries. She currently serves on her AW district retreat committee as the technical support person.

Rachel graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene College in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Art and a minor in business. She later continued her education at Geneva College, graduating with a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership in 2005. She is currently employed by Geneva as their webmaster. In addition, she is active in her church singing with the worship team and choir, helping with their website and multi-media, working in the nursery and with the youth group, and of course, Alliance Women.
