Intercultural Ministries: Michigan
Praise God for the money given ($36,000.) to purchase "Abraham's House" in the Dearborn, Michigan
area. This building will be used to reach out to the hundreds of thousands of Muslims living in that area.
Adjust Your Focus: Russia
Recently A/V equipment was bought for ministries in Russia. A video projector has been purchased for use
in church planting in the South of Russia. St. Petersburg is a huge city of several million people. One
method that is used for evangelism is showing films. The projector is simply wonderful to have for this
ministry.
A number of church plants in the Krasnodar region are using this projector as well: Here is a word from
Alexei Eropkin, D.S. of the Krasnodar District "Thank you for taking part in our lives and ministry here in
Russia. You are always interested in what is happening and that you support us in prayer. This beautiful
video projector is a direct result of your financial support. May the Lord bless you abundantly with joy,
faith and strength."
Adjust Your Focus: Paraguay
Monies were sent to Paraguay for multi-media projectors in several churches. These were greatly appreciated.
Illuminating the Way: Congo
Jeroen van der Rijat is a Dutch Alliance missionary in Gabon where the field had been a recipient of large gifts
towards computers and books for the Bible schools. Jeroen took a trip to Congo, and when he saw the tremendous
needs there, he wrote a proposal for the Theological Faculty in Congo. The request has been approved! Thanks to
all who have contributed towards these funds. They will be a great blessing for the faculty, staff, and students.
Adjust Your Focus: Argentina
"Thank you for the computer and video projector I was able to purchase for ministry use because of your gifts. It
will be used for the ministry with women in doing "The Beauty of Color" presentations both in large and small groups.
This will make it so much easier to present the gospel where they don't have this equipment. May God bless each of you
for your love for Him and for missions." Gratefully yours, Melody Taube (Argentina)
Carry It, Adjust Your Focus & Hands On:
A new project in a creative access area is opening and approximately $68,000. was given from three projects to facilitate
this ministry to unreached peoples. The building will include a coffee room, an English teaching classroom, and a Women's
Health Clinic. The worker receiving this wonderful gift says: "You are a great stay behind us and support us financially
and most of all, through PRAYER. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Step Up: Burkina Faso
"We were recently awarded funds from AWM to begin a pilot project with a number of women in Burkina Faso to train them
to be trainers of other women. We desire to make this a multi-dimensional approach to train impoverished women to break
out of the cycle of poverty and help provide for the needs of their families. The trainees will then multiply their
training by investing in others and teaching them in the following areas:
This program will begin in February 2006. Thank you for your incredible investment you continue to make not only in
this program but in many efforts to advance the name of Christ throughout the world."
Sincerely, Timothy J. Albright
Intercultural Ministries: U.S.
Juan Carlos Heredia, Senior Pastor of the Alliance Hispanic Church of Houston thanks AWM for partnering with him in
ministry as funds were given for him to get quality biblical training from Dallas Theological Seminary at their Houston
extension campus.
Gabriel Martinez: "It is with great gratitude that I write to you. Thank you for helping cover part of my educational
expenses while doing graduate studies in counseling at Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in New York City.
Spring 2006 should be my last semester. Thank you so much."
Adjust Your Focus: Mali
Thank you for the funds to purchase a video projector to use in our ministry of
pastoral care to the pastors and their wives. Betsy Sessoms
Adjust Your Focus: Cambodia
The missionaries in Poipet, the Laos and the Copelands want to thank the US Alliance Women for the
generous gift of a much needed powerpoint projector. There are many uses for it including teaching Cambodian
surgeons special techniques, conveying primary health care messages, mini-tours in the USA and showing Christian
videos and presentations in the village churches.
Connecting: Congo
Thank you for the money that was recently given to set up an internet connection in our
home where the mission office is located. We are currently paying a monthly fee to the Wycliff Bible Translators
Center to have access to the internet. Having the internet in our home will help me as field director to be more
efficient in my time and provide access to internet services like Skype which enable us to make telephone calls.
Ron Julien
Hands On: Mali
Thank you for participating in the ministry to the Bozo people. We have just received funds
towards building a Community Health Center that will minister to Mali fishermen.
Intercultural Ministries: U.S.
Francesca Reyes (Spanish Eastern District), Felix Ballon Jr. (South Pacific District Filipino
Ethnic Church), and Thuan Le (Vietnamese Church in New York City) all are very much appreciative of scholarship funds
given to further their studies here in the U.S.
Adjust Your Focus: Burkina Faso
The field of Burkina Faso is very appreciative of receiving $12,500. for Multi-Media Equipment. Video equipment to
continue a drama/music video ministry was purchased to help with the production of these films. Esther Schaeffer
organizes the productions along with the help of many other missionaries and nationals. "The Birth of Christ" and
"Christ's Return" were aired on both the national and Christian television stations in Burkina. Two music videos
telling about the importance of using mosquito nets and listening to your parents (a warning against teenage pregnancy)
were also produced. The next production will be "Abraham and Sarah" The videos will also be used in market evangelism.
"Thank you so much for helping us in this endeavor. You are making a difference in the lives of the people of Burkina
Faso!"
Step Up: Mali
Noelle Dembele, president of AWM of Mali and her committee thank AWM for the $1,000. gift towards the national
conference that was held recently. People are still talking about what God did that weekend. 2000 women attended!
The ladies of Mali thank you very much in the name of Jesus, asking His blessing to rest on you.
Illuminating the Way: Mali
Thank you for the great gifts you gave to us and our friends and colleagues in Mali. I am sure God will use the gift
for the Baramba Girl's School in great ways. Most of the girls are accustomed to eating with their hands on low chairs
with the bowls on the ground. This gift of tables and chairs will give them an opportunity to learn to eat Western
style with Western utensils in the cafeteria. While this may seem small, many of these girls will become pastor's
wives or wives of church leaders. These skills will be necessary for such ladies to feel comfortable entertaining
and interacting with upper class members of Malian society as well as visiting westerners. Thank you for the great
investment that you have made to the Baramba Girl's School (a Bible School for women). -- Pastor Simeon Dembele, the
director of the school.
Intercultural Ministries: Pensacolo Theological Seminary
My name is Marc Horace. I was born in St. Marc Haiti, but I grew up in Lake Worth Florida. Currently I am in the
Master's of Divinity program studying for the pastorate at Pensacola Theological Seminary. I was able to obtain
financial assistance through Intercultural Ministries, and I was informed that the majority of the assistance I am
receiving is from Alliance Women Ministries. Your contribution to my education is greatly appreciated. I believe
that God has called me to be a minister of the Gospel. Your contributions have been recognized by the Lord. They
have not gone unnoticed. May the Lord fill your pot to overflowing as you continue to bless many others.
