1. Women's Community Center

Meeting the needs of those living in the community by offering language classes, literacy classes, women's craft projects/sewing with the potential to be reproduced for income, hairstyling, health education, sports training, women's aerobics, etc. This will build friendships in the neighborhood where it is planned to share intentionally and spontaneously. Funds will purchase whiteboards, markers, books, paper, video projector, sewing machines, ironing board, coffee maker, microwave, water heater, coffee/tea cups, furniture, closet to lock up supplies, aerobic exercise mats.

2. Cultural Community Center

Funds will provide the remodeling of a facility to make it useable for a self-supporting English Café where people can come to discuss different themes and relationships can be built. This facility will also include enough space to house the Ladies' Club. The Ladies Club meets to discuss books; includes seminars of all types and can be used greatly to open discussion about eternal issues. It will provide a place where people can go for help, prayer and hear about Jesus Christ.

3. The Center

This community space will provide on-going programs for young adults and young families. Many new families of different backgrounds are coming to this area to find employment. A neutral place of contact is important to build relationships with people. These funds will provide renovating and furnishing this space for educational classrooms so people can learn English, guitar, photography or other hobbies and a café and other casual space where relationships can be developed.

5. Handicraft Training

A big problem for minority women is they don't have a way of making an income to buy food, medicine, and children's educational needs. This project will train a focus group in handicraft skills such as cross-stitching, quilting, and other skills as we develop outlets for sales. This will enable them income for their families basic needs. The funds provided will provide help with the training buy supplying supplies, food, and in some cases travel expenses to get to the training center.

6. Dorm and Prayer House

The peoples in this area have been unresponsive for over 100 years. Currently there is an emerging movement of believers. This project will develop a culturally appropriate word and deed witness movement-oriented training model for the believers. It will fund six prayer houses in six different unreached people groups, a central training center to reach all fourteen groups, and program costs. Community development centers such as a fish farm are part of this program. A dorm is needed on this site to increase the capacity for training. People coming to this center will be trained in areas of development and in areas of scripture translation. The goal is to train the current believers to begin movements towards Christ to the non-reached people groups of this area.

7. English as Second Language Ministries

Students are coming to faith through ESL ministries. Relationships are developed in the classrooms that allow workers to become part of their lives. The workers have access to their homes, attend their wedding, grieve with them in the death of a loved one, rejoice with them in the celebration of a new birth, high school graduation, a new job, and engagement, or a completed college degree. Through these multiple contacts the truth of God's Word is now being shared. To continue this program, funds are needed for teacher development, materials, curriculum, and maintenance of these four center facilities.

8. English as Second Language

These particular ESL centers are in a very resistant area of our Latin American Region and need help to reach the communities of this country. English Conversation Clubs have been very helpful in making contacts. The project would also help provide funds to run English/Sports Weekend Camps for adolescents. This will open doors as well to previously inaccessible families which the region feels crucial to the formation of a lasting Community of Faith.

9. Vehicle for Participants of Pastoral Training Program

A large van is needed to transport the participants of the Pastoral Training Program in this region, to help when short term teams come, and to do more events away from the community center that is already established. At present taxis must be used and the cost is extremely high even when going short distances. This would greatly increase the effectiveness of this ministry.

10. Pastoral Training

A crisis of leadership is existent. New places of worship are being established, but there are no trained leaders. This program would be to meet four to six times a year to assist with enabling nationals to be trained for ministry. These funds would provide a data projector, a laptop computer, notebooks, pens, photocopying, translation of materials, room and board and some other costs.

11. Media Outreach

There is an on-going ministry called Seedday for Harvest when special content DVD's are passed out to people. This ministry has produced wonderful results. However, to keep it on-going, more DVD's are needed. As of now, these special days of outreach are vey limited by insufficient funding. $20,000 would supply 30,000 DVD's for distribution. Follow-up is made possible by using a web-site or mobile phone number, so those interested in what they have seen on the DVD can have a personal relationship begun where dialog can occur and spiritual help can be given.

12. Blood for Life Medical Clinic

A new church plant wants to have a 3 pronged approach to ministry in an area of severe conflict where casualties are frequent. This prong of the plant is called Blood for Life. A donor clinic for blood will be set up within the church facilities, giving a significantly higher profile to the community as a contributor to vital humanitarian needs. This clinic will require essential laboratory equipment, donor apparatus, computers for cataloguing and filing registrations and histories, and for tracking blood collections. It will require the preparation of brochures, literature and publicity announcing the clinic's services. A waiting area will be equipped with Christian reading materials and a TV offering programs having challenging gospel content. Peripheral announcements and literature would offer medical, personal and family counseling, English courses and Christian education, a coffee house, as well as other services. Estimated cost to equip and set up is approximately $20,000.

13. AIDS Prevention Training

HIV is spreading in many places around the world. Since HIV is incurable, it can be prevented. This training program encompasses all aspects of prevention-physical, behavioral, social, mental. It would reach out to migrant workers, university students, and homosexuals. Training volunteers to minister to those already battling AIDS will be included in this program, enabling people to reach out to the marginalized and desperate in the communities.

14. Marriage Encounter

A very large city in this country is one of the least reached places. Family problems are common and the divorce rate is high. Funds for Marriage Encounter weekends will be used as a pre-evangelistic tool to establish relationships with couples with a goal of seeing couples being a relationship with Jesus Christ and have their marriages restored. This will give another non-threatening tool to be used to share the Good News.

15. Street Boys Project
Cost of Project: $75,000

Poor families in this region are encouraged to give their very young boys to religious leaders to raise in their schools. During the day, the boys are sent to the streets to beg to bring a designated amount of money back in the evening. This often leads to abusive situations. There is opportunity to get permission to house these boys in a center where they will receive love and attention, they will be taught practical skills so they can earn a living when they are older. To construct a center and furnish it, the cost is $75,000.
